Cutie Patootie of the Week

It was officially announced this week that House would end on its currently airing, 8th season.  I must admit, I stopped watching a few seasons ago, but when I heard the news I was a bit bummed.  I guess I'm gonna the ability to tune in and see how cute Jesse Spencer looks and sounds.  Oh yeah, Jesse Spencer is our Cutie Patootie of the Week if you didn't already guess by the above photo.
Besides acting, Jesse is musically talented.  He plays violin, piano, guitar, and bass.  Did I miss anything?  All I can play is a doorbell, so my hats off to this cutie.  Oh and to make me feel even lesser, he can sing! He's a former choir boy!
Either a House reference or he's a Doctor Who fan!
He is also fluent in French and I don't know about you, but that's uber attractive! The fact that he can sing and speak French makes me think he should post some French YouTube videos, a la JGL.  You like the idea don't you?! "Oui oui!"
Look at those eyes!
He's also one Australian! His accent is something I can't help but die over every time I hear it.  An Australian accent is definitely in my top 3 of favorite accents!  My favorite accent is a Scottish accent, a la James McAvoy, which brings me to my final Cutie fact.  James and Jesse used to be roomies!  Oh to be a fly on that wall!

You can currently catch Jesse on the final season of House, airing every Monday at 8.

Cutie Patootie of the Week: Andy Whitfield

This week's Cutie Patootie just recently past away. Andy Whitfield died on September 11, 2011 of cancer. He was 40 years old. Andy Whitfield was a great actor that died too soon.

If you don't know who he is, you should watch Spartacus: Blood and Sand. I recently discovered this show and fell in love with it. Andy Whitfield plays a Thracian who becomes a Gladiator after defeating his executioners, 4 of them, at a Gladiatorial game. Andy's portrayal of Spartacus is magnificent. He shows the right emotions of anger and passions for his wife. I love the look in his eyes before a battle. Andy Whitfield makes you believe in Spartacus.

Before Andy Whitfield became an actor he studied at the University of Sheffield, and to major in what you may ask. Well, Andy studied to become an engineer. He was definitely smart, always a good thing. After graduating he moved to Australia. There he attended Screenwise Film & TV School for Actors. He had minor roles in Australian tv shows. His first big role was in the Australian movie, Gabriel.

Andy Whitfield was an amazing actor that had just began his career and would have accomplished many more things. He had 2 children with his wife Vashti Whitfield. I recommend that you watch him in action in Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The new season Spartacus: Vengeance started this last week. Andy Whitfield was replaced by Liam McIntyre. Let's hope that Liam does a great job at portraying Spartacus just as Andy Whitfield did.

R.I.P. Andy Whitfield (17 July 1971 - 11 September 2011) Beloved Husband, Father, Engineer, Actor, and Model

Cutie Patootie of the Week

The pick for the week is Matt Lauria! I have a confession; I didn't watch Friday Night Lights until after it ended.  But one day last year, the lovely Yvette Nicole Brown tweeted about the entire series being on Netflix.  A few days later I officially had nothing to do because I was done with finals, so I finally took up several years of recommendations and gave the show a chance.  I was hooked in about 5 minutes!  No show has ever done that for me, not even my favorite show Community.  I've fallen in love with so many characters and it has had so many talented cuties (I'm looking at you Zach Gilford)! But those men were Panthers.  In the fourth season the Lions get full focus, and Matt Lauria's character Luke is the first I fell for, which in turn makes me a Matt Lauria fan!  He's super talented y'all!
Let me just mention before I forget, his character lied about where he lived not to impress a girl but to play football for a great team, so that he could go to college (definition of cute)!  He also bought a girl gummy bears, and invited her to the car wash, which led to other things, but hey he was a complete gentlemen! Okay enough about Luke.
For some strange reason, I can't find much information about Matt Lauria other than he went to the University of North Carolina School of the Arts(intelligence), he's also a musician and director(talented), and married(tear).  So I propose that Matt Lauria is an extraordinary conman or the rest of the world hasn't fallen for his charm yet.
You can currently catch Luke Cafferty, I mean Matt Lauria on a multi-episode arc on CSI. Or watch Friday Night Lights on Netflix (you won't regret it)!

Cutie Patootie of the Week

It's back! The first Cutie Patootie of the Week this year will be Tom Sturridge.  It is shaping up to be quite a monumental year for Tom Sturridge.  He and girlfriend Sienna Miller are engaged and with child (future toddler fashionista?)  I don't think it's too early to add Tom to the cute dad list!
Does anyone else see a little Paul Rudd here?
Aside from his killer style Tom is an actor. In the past Tom Sturridge has appeared in films like Vanity Fair, Pirate Radio, Being Julia, and a squirrel favorite Waiting for Forever (well not necessarily, I, Nichole, am not a fan).
That lip pout is obviously a English thing because I swear that Ed Westwick gave me that look!
This year Tom will also appear in what may be the biggest film of his career thus far, the adaption of On the Road.  We wish him the best!

P.S:
"He really pulls off what I like to call "the willderness look". He is sure going to look adorable carrying that baby with his amazing beard. Big cute dad alert!" -Mariela

Cutie Patootie of the Week

Oh Colin Firth, you British lad you!  You make us American ladies swoon!  I mean you are Mr. Darcy!  And you can act for days!

Let's be honest, I wouldn't care how good looking you were if you couldn't act, and you my friend can act.  Colin Firth has been in several movies, but squirrel favorites include Shakespeare in Love, The Importance of Being Earnest, Love Actually, Bridget Jones's Diary and A Single Man.

An interesting fact, Firth decided at 14 that he wanted to become an actor, and didn't go to college because of it.  We squirrels love our educated men, so you know he must be dashing for us to let that slide.  But once again, he's Colin Firth.

Love Actually is on my holiday movie list as usual, but you can also catch him this weekend in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

Cutie Patootie of the Week

This is our 100th post! And we shall use it to announce our cutie patootie of the week.... JAMES MCAVOY.

This Scottish cutie is such a great actor and has such a long list of movie appearances: The Chronicles of Narnia, Becoming Jane, The Last King of Scotland, Penelope, the much spoken of Atonement, The Last Station, and The Conspirator, to name a few.

He steals our hearts with his Scottish accent, and his dashing eyes. He also really pulls off the 1700's look, such as in Becoming Jane. If you haven't seen Becoming Jane, please do! You would love to be Jane Austen running away with Mr. James McAvoy, and I would leave it at that.

Other than being a charming actor, he does great works for charity. He jumped from the tallest hospital building to raise money for a Ugandan children's charity.

Sad thing is, that he is married and has a son... but hey, guys with babies are really attractive.
You can currently hear McAvoy's voice on Arthur Christmas!

Now the question remains, if you lived in the late 1700's would you run away with this cutie and ruin your reputation?

Cutie Patootie of the Week

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner!
We would like to bestow the honor upon the one and only Jason Segel!  We've had a major crush on Jason Segel for years.  The reason is mostly due to his charm; his charm alone has kept us amazed since his days on Freaks and Geeks where he played the stoner with a heart of gold.  His comedic and acting chops are also brilliant in How I Met Your Mother, Knocked Up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and I Love You Man.  We're huge fans if you can't tell!

And you know us squirrels, we just love guys that happen to be multi-talented.  Besides being an actor Jason is a screenplay writer, director, producer, and has even written and performed his own music for the screen. We present you with this:
That video of the song "Dracula's Lament"was written by Segel himself.  It brings us to our next point! He has an usual love for puppets, something that we can't help but find adorbs!  He credits the fact that he's still single to his house of puppets.  Well, Jason all we have to say to that is that you are barking up the wrong conceded trees.  If a gal can't take you being just who you are, you shouldn't have to deal with her.  We're available! Just saying.

On another note we would like to thank Jason Segel for bringing the Muppets back to theaters; it's been too long.  And that's exactly where you can catch Jason this weekend.  The Muppets, a film he starts and co-writes, is in theaters now!  We can't wait to get on down there!

Cuie Patootie of the Week

This weeks cutie paootie of the week is Eddie Redmayne.

Now I do not know how popular he is in the UK, but I bet he is more popular than in the U.S, even though he has received a bit more recognition these last years. This makes me happy, although I kinda like him being my little secret.

This British freckled face cutie is a Tony award winner! There is nothing I like more than a guy who has appeared on Broadway. Can he sing and dance?? I do not know, but I am guessing he probably can!

Other than starting his career on stage, and winning a Tony, he has had small parts in in "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" and "The Other Boleyn Girl". He has also appeared in the mini series "The Pillars of the Earth".

Lets talk about his personal life. He dated one of our favorites, Carey Mulligan, for a couple a months. But alas, it sadly did not last. I was so rooting for them. They just looked so darn cute together!

(By the way, who looks THIS good walking down the street. Seriously, model material right here!)

Eddie Redmayne now stars in the movie "My Week with Marilyn" along Michelle Williams and Emma Watson which is released Thanksgiving. He looks awfully adorable in 1960s clothing! He is also starring in an upcoming Steven Spielberg (love) film, which i hope finally launches him to stardom! Although again, I kinda don't want EVERY 12 year old girl to know about him.

Cutie Patootie of the Week

And this weeks cutie patootie of the week is...Mathew Gray Gubler. I know lots of questions have emerged after reading this name, so let me clear some things up for you.

How is he relevant?

Well one of our little squirrels (Mariela) was looking through Pinterest.com. (Which by the way is a great photography, creative, website! I highly recommend it!) and came across a picture of the new short haired Matthew Gray Gubler, and can you say what a cutie?!

Are you wondering: Who is he? He looks familiar, where have I seen him?

Well you have most likely seen him in the movie (500) Days of Summer, he plays one of Tom's best friends. He is also better known from wonderful the scene where he says:

He did not really catch us little squirrels attention then, but with his short hair, AHHH!

As I researched, I also discovered he was a model for Tommy Hillfiger, and I can totally see it.

But this is the best part, not only is he good looking, but as I was wandering around Pinterest i found this wonderful thing he said about the woman of his dreams. Girls, get prepared to hear one of the cutest things you have EVER read! Enjoy! Oh and you can also see him in old Criminal Minds episodes.

(and he's not afraid to be silly!)
"Must love decorating for holidays, mischief, kissing in cars, and wind chimes. no specific height, weight, hair color, or political affiliation required but would prefer a warm spirited non racist. cynics, critics, pessimists, and "stick in the muds" need not apply. voluptuous figures a plus. any similarity in look, mind set, or fashion sense to mary poppins, claire huxtable, snow white, or elvira wholeheartedly welcomed. i am dubious of actresses, fellons and lesbians but dont want to rule them out entirely. must be tolerant of whistling, tickle torture, james taylor, and sleeping late. i have a slight limp, eerily soft hands, and a preternatural love of autumn. i once misinterpreted being called a coal-eyed dandy as a compliment when it was intended as an insult. i wiggle my feet in my sleep, am scared of the dark, and think the Muppets Christmas Carol is one of the greatest films of all time. all i want is butterfly kisses in the morning, peanut butter sandwiches shaped like a heart, and to make you smile until it hurts."

Cutie Patootie of the Week

And the honor goes to Anton Yelchin!
Oh, he's like the little engine that could; he got in there in the 11th hour and we feel it rightfully so.  He's long been called the up and coming actor or star on the rise, and we believe that he's finally done with those labels.  Let's just call him Anton Yelchin shall we not?
We're not going to say that his hair was the deciding factor, but we want to assure you that it helped!  And have you seen those adorable dimples?

Some quick facts about Mr. Yelchin:
He's a Jewish Russian.  His family fled the Soviet Union.
His parents were famous figure skaters.
He plays the piano and guitar.
He's been acting since the age of 9.
His screen credits include Hearts in Atlantis, Alpha Dog, Star Trek, Terminator Salvation, and Fright Night.  You can now catch him in Like Crazy, and judging by the trailer this is sure to cement him as a star!

Cutie Patootie of the Week

Our cutie patootie of the week is Hugh Dancy!

Hugh Dancy is a british actor and started his career as a model, but later moved on to acting. He has come out in movies such as Ella Enchanted, The Jane Austen Bookclub, Confessions of a Shopaholic, and our squirrels favorite, ADAM!

If you have not watched Adam yet, you have to! Mr. Dancy plays a super smart guy with aspergers syndrome, and shows how he lives his life, and falls in love. It is seriously amazing.

Oh Hugh Dancy, you are so adorable. I just want to sit on a park bench with you and talk about life and outerspace, and listen to your British accent.

We love everything about him. Other than his cute accent, his great curly hair!

And that SMILE!

He just makes me blush!

In real life he is married to Claire Danes and she is such a lucky gal to be married to him.  Hey Claire, just know this: you hurt this cutie, and we hurt you.

You can now see him in the new movie Martha Marcy May Marlene, with up-incomer Elizabeth Olsen!

Cutie Patootie of the Week

Adam Scott!  Dearest Adam, did you know you're one of the cutest things on two legs?  Seriously!  I have never seen anyone age so well as you my friend.  Are you enjoying the fact that this is written specifically to you?  We hope so.  We must commend you on your ability to play jerks and your overall personality.  You're a gifted actor also, from your small film cameos to your incredible television work in Party Down and Parks and Recreation.  You have the cutest chin, especially in this next clip, which made us squirrels die this week.
Please, don't feel uncomfortable if we just want to pinch your cheeks in this scene (or at least I, Nichole, do).
Also, you are the best part of the movie Step Brothers!  The best!  And I'm sorry I could not find a good clip of you doing "Ice Ice Baby."
 You're style is also impeccable.

By the way, you're our second Adam in a row! (Just noticed that).

The rest of you can currently catch Adam Scott on the hit show, Parks and Recreation, airing Thursday nights on NBC.

Cutie Patootie of the Week

And the win goes to Adam Brody!  Oh dearest Adam, you are one of those guys whose personality and looks I will never get over!  Seriously! I don't think he will ever understood how seriously good looking he is!
First off, he's super funny!
Second, his hair is spectacular!
Third, he's my second favorite Jew!

Fourth, Seth Cohen is one of my all time favorite TV characters!
Fifth, he has a dog named Penny Lane!
Sixth, he isn't afraid to call out actors that claim to hate paparazzi and all that media junk, bluntly saying that they have a choice to quit! And yeah, he worked with said actor.

Lastly, he's Adam Brody!
I just love Adam Brody! You can now rent or buy Scream 4, which I highly recommend.  It's witty and a bit shocking.

Cutie Patootie of the Week

And this weeks Cutie Patootie of the Week goes to... (drum roll)... CHRIS PRATT!

He is not the typical, Jake Gylenhaal or Ryan Reynolds attractive but there is just something about Chris Pratt that drives some of us little squirrels feel like crazy fangirls.

For those of you not familiar with his work, he currently appears in one of our favorite shows, Parks and Recreation, as the loveable character Andy Dwyer. His character is not the brightest crayon in the box but he sure makes us feel jealous of April, his wife on the show.

In real life he is married to Anna Farris, which also breaks our jealousy meter.

He has a goofy smile, and has great facial hair! And I love when he does this expression on Parks and Rec...

He was recently on Conan, and he said that he used "Hip Hop Abs" to lose weight for his role in "Money Ball". He did some cute little dance moves that made his adorable meter go up.

Point is Mr. Chris Pratt is extremely charismatic and adorable, did I mention ADORABLE. I seriously do not know another word to describe him. I just want to give him a high five and big hug. Oh I would also like to go camping with him.

You can watch him on Parks and Recreation every Thursday, and also in "Moneyball", with one of our other favorite Jonah Hill.

P.S. How can you say no to that smile???

Cutie Patooties of the Week

I didn't make a mistake, I do mean cuties.  You have to understand that there was just so much cuteness going on this week.  How is a little squirrel to choose just one?  They couldn't, so brace yourself for the cuties.
Seth Rogen.  "But he's chubby. But his laugh."  Seth is not the typical choice, we get it.  He's perfect to a few of us squirrels and that's all that matters.  He has the most amazing laugh in the world if you ask two of us.  What's greater than his laugh?  His ability to make us laugh so hard!  He's one of the funniest guys in Hollywood, and a sense of humor goes a long way.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt.  A more obvious choice, why certainly.  He's got dimples, a great sense of style, and yeah, he's sexy.  Have you heard the man's french?  More importanly have you heard him sing?  I can list the many talents of Mr. Gordon-Levitt all day, but there's some stuff you have to see for yourself.

Tell me that doesn't make you swoon!
Jonah Hill.  I'll go as far as saying he was cute pre-weight loss because he has always been a funny guy with confidence.  But homeboy has been standing next to Brad Pitt a lot lately, and all I can say is, "Who is Brad Pitt?"  He's still got the funny bone in him!  And can I just say he's cuter in person!  But what I really want to know is if you had five minutes alone with those baby blues, what would you do?  And by some bizarre chance that you're reading this Jonah, I got your back against Mathew Morrison!

That's all 3 of them folks!  You can catch Seth and Joseph in 50/50 out next week and Jonah in Moneyball, now out.

Cutie Patootie of the Week

So it seems to have been a great year for Ryan Gosling! We little squirrels can't seem to get enough of him, and I have been crushing on him for a total of eleven years, yeah that's fours years prior to the Notebook for all you late comers. I'm sure someone has been crushing on him since his Mouseketeer days but I was only 2 when his stint ended so I call that dedication. How can anyone be crushed on for so long? Well we little squirrels present you with a short list.

1) He has mastered the craft of acting. He held his own against Anthony Hopkins in Fracture, played a self-destructive teacher in Half Nelson, an offbeat man in love with a sex doll in Lars and the Real Girl, and an astounding father in a broken marriage in Blue Valentine with such raw effort. The man is a natural!

2)This: http://youtu.be/dDAJ-QX7qns Just ignore the inaccurate subtitles.

3)The man has got some spectacular facial expressions, specifically this blinking eye thing. I couldn't find any good pictures of it, instead I invite you to Google him as often as you want or view Lars and the Real Girl, where he constantly does it.

Update:Searching for another photo, I finally found a decent one! If this is unattractive to you then you're just evil.

4)He's got a nice voice. Ryan sings and plays for Dead Man's Bones and you might remember the memorable ukelele scene from Blue Valentine.

5)He's probably the best dressed actor in Hollywood, wearing experimental variations of the tux and embracing colorful socks. 6)He loves candy. Cue an interview he did with Esquire.
"Hi-chews! Look at these! It's the candy that never quits on you. This candy is always worth the price. There used to be a candy called Bonkers, which I believe to be the greatest candy of all time."

7)He frequents the 7-11! This is my store! I love it, we drink the same iced coffee!
8)He is quite fond of his best friend.
9)Because he gets better with age.

10)Couldn't you just drown in his blue eyes?!

11)Alright, the man is pretty darn fit. You've all seen the previews to Crazy, Stupid, Love so I won't post any photos because from what I hear that stuff embarrasses him.

12)He stops fights. He may regret it now, but we honor his bravery!
http://youtu.be/BTKvhyuPlrA

You can see Ryan Gosling in Drive, now out.
